I was 12 when I used AIM, and I started getting weird IM’s from people I didn’t know. Your first cyberbullying, the first reaction you get is the fast-heart-beating and the fear feeling, and then you suddenly feel like that those insults are true. At first I was scared, you know, because they know my screen name so it must be someone I know, or people are just posting my screen name around, I don’t know but I don’t remember a lot because It has happened to me so much. That first time, I wasn’t so scared that I was about to pee myself or anything, but I was pretty mad that someone would do this. This has happened daily later on in my middle school years and I just started to not care anymore. I would normally leave the computer. But the thing is, you want to leave because you want to forget about that incident. Sad part is, you can’t really forget. Sometimes you just want to go back on and talk to them and know who it is.

Now it’s different. There are so many ways to just block people. Whether it’s from aim, msn, yahoo, myspace, and facebook. Now I can honestly say that the network has more security. I mean, now that incident has happened, it has made me more mature in a way. I realize that people are stupid and wasting their time on me. I think I’m flattered. Haha. But anyway, I don’t give a crap about those anymore because on AIM, I just go to my preferences and click on only my buddies can IM me.

There are people who are more weaker than me and those are the one who decides to commit suicide. It’s sad and it puts anger in myself because it’s totally not their fault. Last night, I was talking to a friend and she said she got a weird IM and she might have thought it could be one of her best friend, but we weren’t sure. She was crying and she said she wanted to commit suicide just to get revenge. Yea, I think once or twice, we have thought about hurting ourselves or even killing. Personally, I would never kill myself no matter what the situation is because I’m strong. Cyberbullying is just something you shouldn’t mess with.

Long time ago, I’d make Xanga and Myspace pages and I’d normally just create an account just to make the page look neat, including the colors and texts. It was, you can say, stressing, but it’s the stress that you want to make it soo perfect, and when it’s done and successful, you’ll just end up really happy because that’s how I am. I learned about deleting ads, adding colors, how to make different words look different when you have a mouse over. But that was in middle school. I forgot almost everything. I worked a lot of HTML, but not as much as CSS. I know a few, and i thank my WDIM teacher to make me a better designer .

HTTP means hyper-text transfer protocol. And there is another called HTTPS which means hyper-text transfer protocol secure. For https, you should definitely look for that when you want to shop on-line so you know nothing bad can happen to your order. http is a communication method that transmit requests and data between users and web browsers and servers.

There are a lot of http errors. I’m not going to name them all but there is one that is quite common. It is called http 404. And it usually comes up to an error because the site is probably unavailable. Either the site is down or the site has been removed. It is a standard error though. Happens a lot.

Http and www are quite the same. Some websites redirect http://xxxx.com to http://www.xxxx.com because search engines see them as different websites and that will affect search engine ranking.

I recently received a virus on my computer. I wasn’t really sure what was going on but it said i had an unmountable volume; which was the problem to why I can’t get into my desktop screen. A blue screen showed up instead saying i have a damage. I had to reformat everything. Now I know I shouldn’t have downloaded anything that I wasn’t sure of. I tried to download a movie but after that, my computer froze and couldn’t get back onto my screen. Weird thing was, the comments below said it worked for them, so I don’t know if it was just my computer, or if the comments were fake. What can I say about viruses. Don’t download anything you aren’t familiar with.

Wikipedia is an amazing source to find information. There are a lot of cool and smart peoples on there but also a ton of crazy obsessive nerds and people with biases opinions. Anyone anywhere can simply sign up, add, subtract, and edit anything in Wikipedia. It’s basically a blog, and you can create your own topic and talk about whatever your topic is, and add pictures. It’s like writing a story. You’re righting it but also, peoples can finish it for you. Peoples who knows the facts and real. You can delete the whole post if you wanted, but there is really no way you could do that because everyday, at least one person edits it and it keeps in track of when the last person edited and it saves it. So yeah, it’s a source of knowledge and live long wikipedia!!

What is keylogger Trojan? Keylogger is a software that logs every key you type on the computer system. It is often use to spy on people and get their secret password and/or any other personal information; a malicious software that monitors your keystrokes, logging them to a file and sending them off to remote attackers. Sometimes keyloggers are sold as commercial software – where your parents might want to use to record their children’s online activities or at schools where professors find out if you’re cheating from looking information up in the internet. Keylogger goes into record mode, and could capture your login username and password. The best way to prevent keyloggers is prevention. You can download a virus scan, and check if you have a keylogger. And you have the choice to delete it/remove or keep it. You can get keylogged by just clicking a link, downloading music, video, movies from untrusted sites. Even a file that someone is sending to you could be untrusted.

Keyloggers tend to be the most determined malware, including through rootkits. Rootkits gives keylog attackers full access to the system and hides the files, folders, and other components it uses.

Me and my friends who are good with computers were trying to help her in a chat called Ventrilio. We told her to download what and telling her what to do. She sounded so sad, as if she just finished crying. Listening to her makes me want to go over to her house and hug her. We also told her not to type any personal information such as credit card numbers and passwords to anything that someone might steal. After that was done, she sounded a little better and we’re just all glad we could help because keyloggers can be a horrible thing especially when you don’t know about it and peoples can just steal everything you’ve got. It’s scary to know that someone else is on your computer looking at what you go through on the web but it’s always good to be careful and download a virus scanner and scan it daily.

I’m a student at The New England Institute of Arts and for this class, I’m supposed to blog about what I learned this week and this is my first post.

If there’s something I learned this week during in school, having the same class again for the second time, it would be, never let anything or anyone disturb your education. Coming from me, I learned it the hard way, and was almost kicked out from college. Luckily, my first semester, I did incredibly good, but then second semester came, my grades went downhill from there.

I’m an average student, I listen, I do my work, I have a boyfriend and friends that loves and cares about me, and I have a job. Second semester came, and I had boyfriend problems. It wasn’t so good, and I won’t go into details. Trust me when I say when having an argument with someone, you can’t just expect yourself to sleep and next morning, everything will be okay. It will never be okay unless you solve your problems. My problems felt like it would never end. But eventually, it happened. We broke up. But during those argument days, weeks, of my school time, I just couldn’t concentrate. So I’ve been skipping classes, and not doing homework and that was the biggest mistake of my life. College must be number one and I learned it the hard way. I wasn’t thinking and I was wasting money.

When my mom found out, I had to decide if majoring in Web Design was a good idea, or transfering to a different college. I’ve been thinking for days and trying to figure out what to do, and eventually, I decided to stay because this is what I want to do with my life. I may not find a job but this is what I really love to do and I’m really good at it. I’m really happy with my decision and now I know that I shouldn’t let anyone ruin my eduation because education is first and an important thing to me. I learned my lesson, and with having a boyfriend this time, I must ask for breaks until I’m ready to continue the relationship, and if he’s not understanding, I don’t think he’s worth it.
